Fisherman’s Cove is surrounded by a 29,000 acre preserve where land and sea are vigorously protected. The nature that you’ll see while paddling or hiking is the same that our first pioneers witnessed well over 200 years ago. So paddle the cove and discover nature!   Numerous archeological sites date human activity in our area as far back as 8000 B.C. Over 1000s of years, the abundant earth, the plentiful wildlife,  the large variety of fresh and salt water fish, continually attracted new groups of people to establish settlements.
