We are surrounded by 24,900 acres of state aquatic preserve where land and sea are vigorously protected. So when you take in the views from our resort, you are seeing the same nature that our pioneers first witnessed over 200 years ago. This magical place yields archeological evidence of human activity starting as early as 8000 B.C. with over 90 documented archeological sites. That’s great evidence that The Cove has been a very popular “go to” place for 1000’s of years!

Enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of our pool area while you watch one of our spectacular sunsets over the breezy bay waters. During this time, you may catch a glimpse of the Terra Ceia dolphins swimming and playing close to the shoreline. We’ve noticed that seeing the dolphins can turn grown men into little boys and women into little girls – it’s simply magical no matter how many times you witness them swim.
On Saturday evenings at The Cove, join us by the bay for poolside entertainment and fun. For evening excursions outside of the resort, the possibilities are limitless; we are close to popular cities and beaches in Sarasota, St. Petersburg, Anna Maria Island, Clearwater and Tampa.

On Saturday mornings, join in on our turbo-charged fishing clinics where the captains of Fishlikeus.com are on hand to help with basic fishing skills.
We regularly catch big fish right off our private pier. Once you reel in your first one, you’ll most likely become one of our beloved BFF’s (Big Fish Fanatics).
