Weekly Fishing Report

I’m over here at Fisherman’s Cove RV Resort, and I was noticing that you can rent out boat slips. That’s pretty cool! There are five or six of them! But the best part about this place is this artificial reef we have over here. It’s specifically designed to attract the bait fish and crabs sitting all around here and give them a place to live and grow. And guess what comes and hangs out and waits for them to screw up? Bigger fish, baby! You can catch them and your weekend fishing report right here at Fisherman’s Cove RV Resort.

This weather will be one of those weekends where fishing is supreme. Do you see that afternoon switch from east to west there? That’s your chance to land one of those big kingfish just off the beaches right now or one of those big Redfish being caught right here in Terra Ceia Bay.

The last morning fishing clinic of the season is happening right here at Fisherman’s Cove RV Resort, and then it’s summertime! Summertime in Tampa Bay offers an excellent opportunity for fishing enthusiasts to indulge in their favorite activity. With the warm weather and the abundance of fish species, the Bay area is a prime location for fishing during the summer months.

Tampa Bay is a large body of water surrounded by several cities, including Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Clearwater. The bay spans over 400 square miles and is home to over 200 fish species. The warm summer temperatures in Tampa Bay make it the perfect place to catch various fish species.

The Snook is one of the most popular fish to catch during the summertime in Tampa Bay. Snook are exciting fish because they are known for their acrobatic jumps and powerful runs. Snook can be caught in Tampa Bay year-round, but they are more active and easier to catch during summer. They tend to be more active during the early morning and late afternoon, so plan your fishing trip accordingly.

Another popular fish to catch in Tampa Bay during the summer is the Redfish. Redfish are known for their strength and endurance, which makes them an exciting catch. They are often found in shallow waters near the shore, so catching them from a boat or the shore is possible. Redfish tend to be more active during the early morning and late afternoon hours.

The Tarpon is another fish popular to catch during the summertime in Tampa Bay. Tarpons are known for their size and strength and are often called the “Silver King.” They are best caught at night, and a guided fishing trip is recommended for catching these giant fish.

In addition to these popular fish species, Tampa Bay also offers excellent opportunities for catching Snapper, Grouper, Trout, and Mackerel during the summer months.

When planning your summertime fishing trip to Tampa Bay, it is essential to keep in mind the weather conditions and tides. Summer thunderstorms are common in Tampa Bay, and it is crucial to check the weather forecast before heading out on the water. Tides can also affect fishing conditions, so checking the tide charts to determine the best time to fish is recommended.
