We are a popular place!

In fact, people have been coming here for thousands of years!

Palmetto, FL is located in the South Tampa Bay area. Fisherman’s Cove is nicely situated on an expansive waterfront view of the Terra Ceia Bay. We are surrounded by 24,900 acres of contiguous aquatic preserve where land and sea are vigorously protected. That means when you take in the views from our resort, you are seeing the same nature that early pioneers first witnessed over 400 years ago.

Diversity brings Abundance

The abundance and diversity of life, is caused in part by the comingling of salt and fresh waters. This magical place yields archeological evidence of human activity starting as early as 8000 B.C.. So with over 90 documented archeological sites, we have proof that “The Cove” has been a popular “go to” place for 1000’s of years!

Discover the Cove!

Nature

The best way to Discover The Cove is while kayaking. The sights and sounds of nature are less impeded by the turbulence of an approaching motor craft.  You’ll see more and learn more about nature and wildlife in balance. To improve your experience exponentially, partnering with a local expert is recommended. They’ll share all the cool nooks and crannies and also knowledge that’s only garnered after years of observing our local environment.
