We spend our lives wishing and wanting moments of complete freedom. Time to rest and spend time in nature with those we hold dear. As every paradox predicts, the moment we receive it, we do nothing but wish we were busy with the hustle and bustle of life again – if for no other reason than to keep our sanity. Thankfully, having or renting an RV can provide the sanity we’re looking for. Whoever thought RV’ing would be the best quarantine? Keep reading to find out why.
Reason #1: RV’ing brings you closer to nature.
When we think of RV’ing, we dream of mountainsides, lakesides, oceanside’s, and all things camping sans sleeping on the ground. It’s the perfect venture into the outdoors without losing our creature comforts. And despite RV parks now being abundantly accessible, there are still some goodies striving to provide this experience.
At our park, nature is at the forefront of what we do, and we intend to keep it that way. We are one of the few RV parks located on the saltwater here in Florida, and whether you like to be in nature, or view it from a safe space, you can do that from any of our travel-only RV spots. Don’t worry, they’re safely way more than six feet apart.
And if that’s not enough to keep you comforted and entertained, there are country walks, county parks, and miles upon miles of nature surrounding us. It’s Florida nature at its best and the main reason why RV’ing is the best quarantine.
Reason #2: RV’ing includes amenities.
Although we are outside the city and surrounded by nature, we are not without facilities. A private clubhouse filled with billiards rooms, fitness machines, a pool area, and a private dock are more than enough to keep you occupied in those moments when your rig is no longer a good mental space.
In addition to existing spaces, we also have a small communal library, games, and puzzles to keep you entertained. And if you are traveling solo and require a little interaction…all you have to do is take a walk. You’re bound to find others outdoors enjoying our good weather, and commiserating in the fact that RV’ing is the best quarantine.
Reason #3: RV’ing is all about community.
Although social distancing requires we stand six feet apart and avoid creating public gatherings with more than ten people, it doesn’t mean you can’t visit with your neighbors. And visiting with neighbors is what the RV lifestyle is about.
The RV world introduces you to a myriad of characters you maybe wouldn’t have ever talked to or befriended otherwise. But a few short nights being neighbors dissolves boundaries and creates a synergy, unlike any neighborhood we’ve ever experienced. We no longer pulled into our garages and shut the doors. Instead, we pull up alongside our neighbors, say hello upon exiting our cars and share stories about where we’ve been or what our lives entail. It’s good neighbors at their best and well worth the venture alone.
So if you find yourself sitting at home and wishing for the first time that you could go back to work, consider packing that rig up and heading over to Fisherman’s Cove Resort. It will be a nice break to the monotony of that wall you still refuse to paint and will remind you of all the good things still happening out there.
Safe travels, and we’ll see you when you get here!
