Just when you think you’ve been through enough change for one season, more big changes come. This is the nature of life, and the one thing we know we can count on – change. The beauty of this tale is, as RV’ers, we’re experts at change. Not only have we chosen to change our lifestyles to meet the demands of tiny living, but we change the location of that tiny house regularly. And even though not much has to change on the inside for us to experience drastic change on the outside, change is what makes us feel alive. Here at Fisherman’s Cove Resort, we think you’ll find life in abundance. We are making big changes, and we’re excited to share them with you.
Upon first venture to our park, travelers commonly described it as “Old Worlde Florida.” Hundred-year-old oaks and resident gators are all part of the experience. In recent years we have decided to marry the old with new, and are creating a truly wonderful playland with modern-day amenities. Here are a few of our recent favorites:
Luxury Bath House & Laundry
With a newly renovated bathhouse holding oversized showers that don’t require coins to operate, multiple marble sinks, and great ventilation you can take care of the day’s beauty needs while doing this weeks’ laundry in the newly renovated laundry room next door.
Boat Storage
A short walk from the bathhouse and you’ll find private boat storage with individual water hook-ups for rinsing salt from the day’s venture. There are also individual powerhouses for charging batteries and live-wells. This is a fisherman’s resort, after all, and we aim to please.
Newly Renovated Clubhouse
A venture up to the commons area is nothing short of entertaining. With a grand room offering complimentary coffee, you can overlook Terra Ceia Island and watch the sunset through our large picture windows in comfort. You’ll also find:
- A big screen t.v. for game and movie watching
- A dance floor for your festive moments
- Multiple seating areas for small and large group gatherings
- High-speed wifi for personal and professional use
Game Room
Just off the main room, you’ll find a poker game twice weekly, an exercise room overlooking the water, and a game room filled with shuffleboard, pool, ping pong, darts, puzzles, board games, and a local library of books and movies for your use.
Pool, Pavilion, & Tiki Hut
Step out onto the patio and you’ll overlook the pool and Terra Ceia Bay, our waterfront paradise. From left to right you’ll find
- A covered tiki hut for grilling out
- A fire pit surrounded by comfortable outdoor rocking chairs
- A heated pool & hot tub
- Large Pavillion with plenty of space for gathering or eating lunch in the shade by the water
Fishing Pier & Boat Launch
Just beyond our poolside amenities is a favorite hangout spot – the dock. Stocked with fishing rod holders, a filet table, and all the amenities you need to fish Florida from ‘home’, we’re sure you’ll find this spot as tranquil and magnetic as we do. And if being beside the water isn’t enough, a private boat ramp is available to all guests and residents for launching directly into Terra Ceia Bay.
Community
Here at Fisherman’s Cove Resort, we aim to provide the nicest park you’ll find in the county. Part of that is because we offer beautiful, updated amenities that are sure to make your stay pleasant. But even more than the materialistic world that surrounds you – we guarantee you’ll enjoy the people. This little park is made up of kind, generous, and welcoming individuals that together create a community you won’t find anywhere else.
