Fisherman’s Cove is situated on the serene shores of Terra Ceia Bay next to 24,900 acres of continuous aquatic preserve. The beauty that surrounds us is vigorously protected and still resembles what settlors first witnessed over 450 years ago. Thus, our pristine setting is a haven for hiking, biking, paddling, fishing, boating, and the observation of Florida’s historically abundant ecosystem.
We’re Connected!
The Terra Ceia Bay connects to the larger Tampa Bay which flows unobstructed into the Gulf of Mexico. That makes us an excellent place for the serious (and not so serious) fisherman.
Nature Up Close!
Some of the best ways to discover our surrounding area is while kayaking, hiking, fishing or biking. The sights and sounds of nature are less impeded by the turbulence of an approaching motor craft so you’ll see more and learn more about nature and wildlife in balance.

We are snuggled on all sides by well-known cities, each with separate, unique characters and a menagerie of adventures. The cities of Tampa and Clearwater are to the North, Bradenton and Sarasota to the South, and St. Petersburg and Anna Maria Island to the West. You’ll discover places for challenging physical pursuits, theme parks for entertainment, local history, science, and art museums for inspiration, and finally, serene gulf coast beaches for rest, contemplation, and play.

Our beautiful cottages are 2 bedroom/ 2 bath and are fully furnished. They feature spacious living rooms, full kitchens, and outdoor patios. The interior design is locally inspired with treasures and artifacts from our local area in Bradenton and Anna Maria Island.
If you are an RV owner or arriving in an RV rental, we have the perfect site for you. We have a variety of premium full hook-up 30-50 amp sites.

There are many great places to see while visiting Fisherman’s Cove, so it’s a good idea to plan where you’ll go ahead of time!
Try our interactive map and discover places you’d like to experience. Except for Tampa*, all these places are within 20 miles of our resort. Under each map marker is a description of the location along with where to go for more information.
*Fisherman’s Cove is 3 miles from I-275 which takes you in a straight shot, all the way to Tampa! It’s 44 easy highway miles with an estimated 40 to 45-minute drive outside of rush hour traffic.

The amenities are top notch! The fishing pier was a big hit for my hubby! I will say that the $1k deposit was a huge turn off and almost a deal breaker for us, we’ve never been asked for such a huge deposit, hence the 4 stars.
We stayed at Fisherman’s Cove RV Resort for about a week, and while there are some definite positives… it’s a bit of a mixed bag depending on what you’re looking for.
The location is solid, especially if you want to be close to Sarasota without being right in the middle of everything. The pool deck was a highlight… well done, relaxing, and clearly one of the better features of the campground.
That said, the campground has a very quiet, sleepy feel and seems to cater more toward an older crowd. During our entire stay, we didn’t see a single kid. For some people, that’s exactly what they want… but for others, it’s worth knowing upfront.
Amenities were fairly limited and there really weren’t any organized activities. There were a couple of food trucks, which was nice to see… but communication around when they’d be there was minimal, so it felt a bit random.
One area that could use improvement is staff interaction. We didn’t see many employees around and the few we did encounter weren’t particularly friendly. I even tried saying hello to the groundskeeper a couple of times and didn’t get much of a response… which stood out.
Overall, Fisherman’s Cove is a decent option if you’re looking for a quiet, low-key stay with a nice pool and good location. Just know going in that it’s more subdued, with limited amenities and very little activity. For the right traveler, it may be perfect… but it’s definitely preference-based.
